Monthly Maintenance · February through November

Garden beds that look cared for, every month

One visit a month from February through November keeps your beds weeded, pruned and edged, so your garden always looks like someone loves it. Because someone does.

Starting at $199 per month

The season

February through November, one visit every month

We start in late winter, before the first weeds and while the shrubs are still dormant, and finish in November with the beds cleaned up and ready for winter. Ten visits, each one timed to what the garden needs that month.

What a monthly visit covers

The whole bed, every time

  1. 01

    Weeding

Every bed is weeded by hand on every visit. We don't use harsh chemicals; we pull weeds out by the root as best we can, so they are slower to come back.

  2. 02

    Pruning and shearing

Shrubs and hedges are pruned or sheared at the right time for each plant, keeping their shape without stressing them.

  3. 03

    Edging and bed maintenance

Crisp edges, tidy mulch and clean lines between lawn and bed, the details that make a garden read as cared for.

  4. 04

    Seasonal touch-ups

Deadheading, cutting back, staking and the small adjustments each season asks for, done before you notice they were needed.

  5. 05

    Perennial care

Cutting back, deadheading and tidying your perennials is part of every visit. The specialized work, such as dividing, moving or rethinking a planting, is planned and led by Jen, and we'll tell you when a bed would benefit from it.

Who it's for

For people who love their garden more than the chores

  • Homeowners with established beds who want them kept at their best
  • Busy families who would rather spend weekends in the garden than working in it
  • Anyone who has invested in a planting and wants it to mature the way it was designed to
  • Clients whose garden we designed and installed, so the same hands keep it growing

How it starts

Three steps to a garden you never have to catch up on

  1. Consultation

We walk your property with you, look at every bed and listen to what you want from your garden.

  2. Your plan

You get a written monthly plan with an estimated monthly rate, so you know what happens on each visit and what it costs.

  3. First visit

The first visit brings the beds up to standard; every visit after that keeps them there.

From our clients

Gardens we have kept for years

We have used Promised Land Gardening Services, LLC for the last 3 years and couldn’t be happier each time we use them. They do an amazing job with winter clean up, trimming, weeding, mulching, etc. They are also great with landscape recommendations if you need help with plant suggestions. Josh and Jen are great to work with and they have a quality crew. It always puts a smile on my face when they are done! And to top it off, they are reasonably priced. I highly recommend!

Questions we hear most

Do I need to be home for the visits?

No. Once we have agreed on the plan, we come on a regular schedule and let ourselves into the garden. You will know which week to expect us.

Is mowing included?

No. Monthly maintenance is fine garden care for your beds, shrubs and perennials. We are happy to work alongside your mowing service.

What happens over the winter?

The November visit puts the beds to bed: a final cut-back, cleanup and winter preparation. We pick up again in February, before the garden wakes up.

Can we start partway through the season?

Yes. The first visit catches the beds up to where they should be for the month, and the plan runs month to month from there.

Do you spray for weeds?

No. We don't use harsh chemicals in your beds. We weed by hand and pull weeds out by the root as best we can; it takes longer, but it is kinder to your plants, your soil and everyone who uses the garden.

Starting at

$199

per month, February through November. Your exact rate depends on the size of your beds and what is planted in them; we confirm it after the consultation, before any work starts.

Ready to hand off the weeding?

Tell us a little about your garden and we will set up a consultation. No obligation, and no pressure to sign up for more than you need.
